Humphrey Astley: Oxford, United Kingdom; Humphrey Astley was born in 1982 in Oxford, England, where he studied at Ruskin College. In the early '00s he founded the art collective Rain over Bouville and published collections by poets in Canada, Sweden and the UK. In 2008 he wrote Looking for My Brother (a short film by Mark Bousfield) and in 2010 assembled the short-lived performance poetry group The Four Tenors with Paul Askew, Stuart Bryant and Henry Stead. As singer and musician, he performs under the name Huck, both as a solo artist and with the bands Tamara and the Martyrs, Windom Earle and The Epstein. He is currently writing a concept album in the form of a folk operetta about two teenage runaways in Dixie, and planning a mixed-form sci-fi novella based on the life and works of the poet Georg Trakl.
